When Will Netflix’s The Ranch Be Cancelled?

The Ranch is a series that Netflix acquired in 2017, which has seen its star and creator, Jared Padalecki, get a lot of mileage out of the show’s premise of a ranch family whose lives are torn apart by the apocalypse.

While the show was initially scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2018, that was cancelled last year, due to Padaleckis lack of time to write the script and for a lack of network interest.

But now Netflix has renewed the series for a second season.

Padaleczis new series The Ranch, which stars his daughter, Kari, is scheduled to debut in 2019.

“I’m excited to be returning to the series,” Padalecca told Entertainment Weekly.

“This season of The Ranch will take the series to a whole new level of storytelling.”

The show’s stars, Kamiel Shaw and Ben Mendelsohn, are back to bring the family together, reuniting in the series’ third season.

However, it appears that Padaleccis upcoming new show, Supernatural Season 16, will also be coming to Netflix next season.

“The Ranch has been a staple on Netflix, so it’s very exciting to see it get renewed and we’re very grateful to have Jared back for the new season,” Netflix exec VP of original programming Dan Minahan said in a statement.

“Kari and Ben have delivered such memorable performances in The Ranch and have earned a spot on the streaming network’s schedule for the first time.

We’re looking forward to their explosive season finale this fall, as well as our long-awaited debut of Supernatural season 17.”

Supernatural returns in 2019 with its third season, and the Netflix original drama is expected to be a hit.
